International Women’s Day 2024 Celebrations

Happy International Women’s Day #InspireInclusion

When we inspire others to understand and value women’s inclusion, we forge a better world.

And when women themselves are inspired to be included, there’s a sense of belonging, relevance and empowerment.

The aim of the IWD 2024 #InspireInclusion campaign is to collectively forge a more inclusive world for women.

This year, we celebrated International Women’s Day with a morning tea. The fantastic food was supplied by Seasons Café, which is owned by genU, a disability services organisation dedicated to building inclusive communities and empowering people to reach their full potential.

International Men’s Health Week

The theme of this year’s International Men’s Health Week was Healthy Habits. Ausdecom celebrated with healthy snacks and on-site talks regarding the importance of regular physical activity.

International Men’s Day

The theme of this year’s International Men’s Day was Celebrating Mateship #MakeTime4Mates and how important friendships are for good mental health.
Ausdecom celebrated International Men’s Day with on-site events to encourage openly talking about important topics, these conversations create a safe environment where everyone can speak openly about mental & physical health and feel comfortable asking for help when needed.
As a part of our activities Jem from HALT visited a couple of our sites to talk about mental health and suicide prevention. HALT events provide the tools to start having conversations about mental health, and they encourage supporting your mates when they’re going through tough times.

Big Blue Table

October is Mental Health Month.

Beyond Blue’s Big Blue Table kicked off the month with conversations to reduce the stigma of anxiety, depression, and suicide by making mental health everyday table talk.

This week Ausdecom hosted events at their sites – going beyond small talk by utilising the great conversation starters supplied by Beyond Blue, we also enjoyed some blue cupcakes

Big Blue 352

Ausdecom’s Big Blue 352 Excavator has been busy raising awareness and funds to support mental health in the construction industry.

Not only was it on display at the Dig Deep Event in May but it has also been working hard on site and has now raised a fantastic $5,695.

Harmony Week is a time to celebrate Australian multiculturalism. Australia is one of the most successful multicultural countries in the world and we should celebrate this and work to maintain it.

The message of Harmony Week is everyone belongs.

It is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background, united by a set of core Australian values.

Beyond Blue

We are very excited to take delivery of our Blue CAT 352 Excavator, thank you to Caterpillar & William Adams CAT Laverton Branch for your help and support to bring this idea to life.

Committed to supporting mental health in the construction industry Ausdecom will be donating 10% of the revenue generated by this excavator in 2022 to Beyond Blue.
